THURSDAY

Lost Mine Trail, Big Bend National Park, Texas 1987

One of the things I've always enjoyed about the high desert is where the desert flora meets the sub-alpine flora. Cacti and agave mingle with tall grasses and scrub pinon, oak and juniper trees. At this higher altitude, the air seems almost as fragile as the plant life. Light is as sharp as the points of the agave's thorns.

Really like this image. Reminds me of one I took in a nature preserve about 1-1/2 hours from San Miguel. I saw and felt what you did at BBNP but wasn't able to execute it as well. I gotta go back.
