I had spent the night in Hays, KS, and on the TV there is much news about how the farmer are shifting their crops to corn. Seems a new corn to ethonol plant will be built in the region. There is some corn now, but what looks to be about 90% anything planted that is growing is wheat. Miles and miles of wheat, and the harvest has started. Combines are everywhere. Giant clouds of yellow dust tail them machines as they gobble up the wheat. Did get two cemeteries today: Liberal and Protection. Don't ask me about the dead Jack. He was just laying there across that red rock which is right out on Main Street in Ashland.
