IN COLOR AT ISO 3200......cool

Tuesday night salon was a good place to try out some high ISO color. The room is dimly lighted around its perimeter -- the exposure for this image was 1/30th f/2.8, ISO 3200. lens 17-35 f2.8 L at 17mm. Interesting that it is easy to have the image be brighter than it was to my eye. There has been some mention of "black specks" on the right edges of highlights, but I have yet to see any from my camera. Once again to shoot so casually and expect this level of quality is something I had always wanted to do, and now I can. Maybe I'll hit the lottery and can afford Canon's 24 1.4 L -- that would be an ideal lens for this camera.

Hey thanks, Louie...where to go? That is up to me, the photographer, now to use this new technology in ways not available to me before. If I can get past the ice and snow and my cold, I'll start shooting more seriously.
