Summer Travels XV

Baltimore Inner Harbor, Maryland August 20, 2010

On our final trip of the summer, we were in Baltimore for Ellen to meet with board members on some business, and while there took the opportunity to visit long-time friends. We had not see Larry and Elizabeth in several years and little did we know they had acquired a 26-foot sloop in which they toured us around the inner harbor. I continue to be amazed by the Canon 5D2. This image is shot at 1600 ISO. I have inset the full frame on the 100% enlarged crop.

One of these days you'll travel to this part of the country, too. Come in late September when the trees are ablaze with color and weather is cool.

This picture makes me feel nostalgic. Back in 1974 I worked as a photo assistant in the Dravo Shipyards. (The previous summer I worked there as a welder)

When we launched a new towboat we would have a crane lower it's boom into a good position and then walk out to the end to shoot pictures.

I was young and stupid then. Now I'm just...

Steve: The things we did when we were younger....I have sworn off ladders taller than three feet. A fall from anything taller would kill me. What does that say about me.
