For the past year or so, I have taken notice of they flags once so proudly displayed just after 9/11. That was six years ago, and now those very same flag are torn and tattered much like our patriotism. This past Wednesday I told my digital class to bring to the next critrique at least one image of a forgotten flag. And another one for the week after that. Photographer and teacher, Karl Baden, has been making images of flags for the past few years, and I realize I have somewhat captolized on his idea. If enough good ones come in, I plan to display them in the second floor gallery at school. I told them I would participate, also, and above is my first one. If you have one, or know of one, please post the URL in the comments section.

Well, since you asked (and since you have already commented on this one) its in my October 16 blog post at http://indavesview.blogspot.com/.
I am so glad you posted both the photo and the comments. This post and your link got me thinking about my shots of flags--and the times I have been moved by seeing a flag and failed to take the photo. The forgotten flags are especially touching. This shot was a powerful way to make your statement. Thank you.
