OK, I'm going a little sentimental here, but spring has been so long coming this year I just had to put up this azalea flower. This little bush use to be six feet tall and would bloom so profusely that it was one big burst of color. But then we had the excavation for the sewer tie-in done, and the backhoe operator ran over it. Now this once large healthy azalea is only a short stub of a bush, but it continues to make a come-back each year. And this year it was the first of all the azaleas around the yard to offer blooms. Something to be said for that, it's had to try harder.
