It snowed last Thursday, and now it's snowing again. The top image was made less than an hour ago, and the bottom one about a month ago. Last winter it hardly snowed at all, but already this winter, it's getting deep. No doubt these two snow falls will be around until next spring's thaw. But last Thursday was Dec. 13th, and I well remember the first Dec. 13th we lived in Worcester. That was a Friday, the 13th, and it started snowing about noon that day and continued through about noon on Sunday. We didn't go outside because we couldn't. We were literally snow inside our house. Measured snow fall for that weekend was 33-inches. This Dec. 13th, I measured the snow fall at 10-inches and this morning, so far, we have another 10+ inches. It is getting deep outside as you can see by the images. For the past few hours it has been alternating between fine crystal snow and sleet. Be interesting to see how my new snow blower handles the mix. The most challenging part of blowing off the driveway is the berm the city snow plowers throw up at the end of the driveway. I would imagine this morning it will be at least two feet deep and about 4-5 feet wide. Guess I'd better get with it....sigh.
